Stage 2: Set
RSGG Stage 2: Set is all about creating a robust safety plan for your ministry. It covers four key areas (Program, People, Place and Budget), each as a separate section with associated forms.
To complete this stage, work through each section (2.1-2.4). All instructions, forms and resources required for each section can be accessed on the pages below.
Once Approved
Once your Stage 2: Set is approved, you’ll be able to:
- Open registrations for your ministry (if applicable)
- Access ministry funds
- Send team member payment links (if applicable)
You will then move on to Stage 3: Go – where your safety plan turns into active risk management, and you gain final approval
Key Resources
SU NSW Risk Assessment Library
The SU NSW Risk Assessment Library (RAL) has been designed to reduce the workload for teams to create high quality Risk Plans for their ministry. All insured SU NSW activities have an approved Risk Plan and RAL code that has already been created that can be adopted as is or modified to suit the specific activity. Locations, location specific risks and transport methods also have a Risk Plan.
For more information and to access the RAL, please click below.

Mandatory Roles
Mandatory roles are designed to clearly delegate necessary responsibilities within your team to keep you, your team, the participants and SU NSW safe. Roles are conditional to the specific characteristics of your ministry and should be assigned based on skills, experience and gifting.
Click below to view a list of all SU NSW Mandatory Roles and their conditional requirements. If a condition matches your ministry, ensure that you nominate a person for that role in the 2.2 – People form.
