SU Rugby Union Camp is an exciting, fun filled time where each camper can develop their individual and unit skills under the guidance of experienced First Grade and Rep players and coaches. Each day, whether you are new to the game or an experienced player, there will be plenty to learn about the “game they play in heaven” and what the Bible says about the most important game of all. 

Included in the cost; 3 excellent meals a day, morning & afternoon tea, supper, dormitory accommodation, equipment, quality coaching, fun activities and games and a rugby jumper to keep!

Part of the camper registration process is to inform us of any medical conditions or requirements your child might have that could impact their time at camp. Our First Aid officers are equipped to administer medication as stipulated by you at registration. If the camp has any questions regarding the medical requirements they will contact you prior to the camp beginning.
Yes, please provide a comprehensive list of dietary requirements when registering your child onto camp. We are able to cater for most children with special dietary requirements, such as vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose intolerance. In certain circumstances, parents may be required to provide special food for their child to bring to camp.
All SUNSW Camps have Senior First Aid qualified leaders who will deliver first-response treatment in the event of an injury or illness. A decision is then made about whether further medical attention is needed and if the camper needs to visit a medical centre or hospital. Scripture Union NSW or the Camp Director will contact the emergency contact parent as soon as possible if outside medical attention is required and if there are any major incidents that occur.
This is a responsibility of the parent/guardian, please contact the director if assistance is required.
The coaches will lead skills and fitness drills, which will include an (optional) session on tackling technique. Games played will be similar to oz tag.
All levels of expertise will be welcomed and accommodated. There will be different stages of playing ability, each camper will be taught new skills and be challenged to improve their game. This camp is an ideal preparation for your upcoming season or a fun introduction to the game.
Prior to camp, you will receive a ‘camp information pack’ by email with all the details of what your child will need to bring to camp. Drop off and pick up times and location of the camp will also be included.
Each day of camp features a short, age-appropriate Bible presentation and small group time for campers to talk about issues in greater depth and ask questions about God, life and everything.
A team of energetic, committed, Christian Leaders look after the campers throughout camp. All leaders are reference-checked, trained in child protection procedures and have completed government child protection requirements. In addition to adult leaders, a number of Camps involve Junior Leaders who will get right alongside your child throughout the week.
SU NSW Camps and their volunteers hold a strong commitment to the well-being of everyone who participates in our camps. We operate under Scripture Union guidelines and strive to stay in line with and even ahead of the standards that are in place for the camping industry.
