Purpose of Lunchtime Groups
Since our first ISCF group in 1935, Scripture Union lunch time groups have had a unique place in the landscape of NSW state schools. Since that first group, lunchtime groups have multiplied into many schools. Currently, there are more than 140 groups meeting each week, with an average of 2000 students meeting to have fun, pray, and read the Bible together. Although these school groups may operate under different local names, they are all part of the wider Scripture Union NSW network.
We long to make the good news of Jesus known to all those in and around schools, be they students, teachers, or parents and carers, by the grace of God.
As a movement, we are committed to providing young people with the opportunity to hear and discuss the Good News of the Bible through ongoing encouragement and support, equipping groups with resources, and empowering groups to run themselves as is suited to their context. We also provide opportunities for students and leaders alike to grow in their leadership skills through a variety of programs and resources.
SUPA Clubs
Scripture Union Primary Age (SUPA) Clubs are generally for grades 5-6, but can include Years 3 up, and usually meet on a weekly basis during lunchtime on school premises. SUPA clubs are a chance for students to learn more about Christianity through engaging, enjoyable, and age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, music, and bible study or talks. As the beliefs and viewpoints of all students are respected, SUPA clubs help instil a sense of belonging and care in the students as they engage and explore the Christian faith with their peers. This helps students develop their wellbeing and relationships with others.

ISCF Groups
ISCF (Inter-School Christian Fellowship) is an inclusive group where high school students can learn more about Christianity in a fun, friendly and informal setting. The beliefs and viewpoints of all students are respected and they can explore their questions about God, faith and the Bible. Students are given opportunities to build positive relationships, develop leadership skills and serve in their school community. Groups usually run during lunchtime once per week.
