Since our first ISCF group in 1935, Scripture Union has had a unique place in the landscape of NSW state schools.
As a movement, we are committed to providing young people with the opportunity to hear and discuss the Good News of the Bible in their school environment through approved voluntary student activities.

What you can do to prepare to lead your SUPA Club/ ISCF group in 2022.
SUPA Clubs
Scripture Union Primary Age Clubs – Generally for grades 5-6, these groups usually meet on a weekly basis during lunchtime on school premises.
SUPA clubs are a chance for students to learn more about Christianity through engaging, enjoyable and age-appropriate activities such as games, craft, music and Bible study or talks.
ISCF Groups
Inter-School Christian Fellowship Groups – Although these high school groups may operate under different local names, they are all part of the wider Scripture Union ISCF network.
These groups provide an opportunity for Christian students to grow in their faith, and for any other students to explore their own questions about Christianity.
As these groups are often student led, Scripture Union NSW provides leadership training through events.

Pray for Schools
Scripture Union NSW would love you to consider ‘Prayer Groups for Schools’. This is a great opportunity to pray for schools across NSW and the various Christian ministries that take place (e.g. SUPA Club, ISCF, SRE)
Please reach out to Cheryl Burton (SU NSW School Ministry Team Leader) with the details of your prayer group so we can encourage people to join if there is an enquiry. [email protected]
Christian Teachers Connect

There are many great joys and challenges in being a Christian teacher in NSW State Schools. In recognition of the vital role you have as a DoE teacher, Scripture Union NSW is honoured to invite you to ‘Christian Teachers CONNECT’, an online event designed to encourage, refresh, and connect Christian DoE teachers across NSW.
The Heart of Christian Teachers CONNECT:
- Be encouraged by special guest speakers who are living for Christ as current DoE teachers in public schools.
- Be refreshed as we open God’s word and pray for His presence and kingdom to come in our lives and our schools.
- Be connected to other Christian teachers in your region as we support each other.
Hope Project

We know that navigating high school can be a stressful time, especially amidst a global pandemic. Thankfully, we have a God who loves us so perfectly and is ready to hear our prayers and respond with His peace! The Hope Project is all about Good News for young people. At the heart of the Hope Project is our desire for all young people to know they are loved, valued and given a hope-filled future by Jesus!
