In some ways, Corrimal Beach SUFM is a small taste of heaven. A bunch of people from all different churches join together for one purpose, to tell people about our great saviour Jesus. It's a lot of fun and very rewarding.

We set up a bunch of canvas tents on the 27th December that we use for eating, sleeping and running activities. We run activities for 4 days, have new years day off and then run activities for another 4 days, packing up on the 6th of January. The activities may look similar to ones you see at your Church Sunday School or Youth Group except they are more upbeat and evangelistic.

Team members usually find beach mission is a great way to push yourself out of your comfort zone. They grow spiritually as they see God answer prayers. They grow in ability as they teach and lead in new ways. They grow in confidence to share the hope they have in Jesus.

While we meet new people every year, there is also a core group of families that come down each year and we can see God working in their lives as they warm to Jesus and then start asking more questions. It is rewarding to see how God works in new ways each time.
