Alice started out as a camper on Girls' Ag in 2004 and has been involved ever since. Girls' Ag Camp provides many opportunities to develop discipleship relationships and to encourage young women to become faithful followers of Jesus and Alice is excited to lead a team who share her desire to invest in the lives of the campers each year.

To adhere to NSW Government guidelines, Scripture Union NSW has taken the following steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Campers and volunteers.

• All participants are encouraged to complete a Rapid Antigen Test, either at home or upon arrival. Anyone who is a close or household contact will be not be able to attend camp.
• All participants' health will be monitored throughout camp.
• If a participant develops any COVID-19 like symptoms while on camp, participants will be isolated and asked to complete a Rapid Antigen Test.  If positive, Parents/Carers will be contacted to collect their children.
• Masks will be recommended during inside activities, with the exception of eating times.
• SUNSW will keep records for all participants to enable contact tracing in the event of a participant having a positive test within 7 days of camp.
• In the event of the camp needing to be cancelled due to COVID19 all participants will receive a full refund

Part of the camper registration process is to inform us of any medical conditions or requirements your child might have that could impact their time at camp. Our First Aid officers are equipped to administer medication as stipulated by you at registration. If the camp has any questions regarding the medical requirements they will contact you prior to the camp beginning.

No. The program is designed in such a way to be accessible to girls who have experience on farms, and girls who do not. Every year we have a mixture of campers from both rural and city backgrounds.

No of course not, we would love to have you whether you have grown up attending in church or have never set foot in a church, or anywhere in between.

Campers will be broken into “farm groups” for their farm visits. Each group will be allocated to a car with an experienced driver. Drivers are given strict guidelines on safe driving standards for the program.

Each year slightly changes as we change location, camping on local farms or showgrounds. This year we will be camping at Thuddungra Hall, not far from Young, in a beautiful area surrounded by sheep and crop farms. A map and directions will be provided prior to camp. Campers will be allocated to sleep in army-style tents, which they will share with two leaders and six girls. We will use the hall for dining and activities, and set up a portable bucket-shower system, with single enclosed cubicles.

All SUNSW Camps have Senior First Aid qualified leaders who will deliver first-response treatment in the event of an injury or illness. A decision is then made about whether further medical attention is needed and if the camper needs to visit a medical centre or hospital. Scripture Union NSW or the Camp Director will contact the emergency contact parent as soon as possible if outside medical attention is required and if there are any major incidents that occur.

Prior to camp, you will receive a ‘camp information pack’ by email with all the details of what your child will need to bring to camp. Drop off and pick up times and location of the camp will also be included.

You will be expected to participate in all aspects of the camp to make it as enjoyable as possible for everybody. We will be helping each other to the best of our abilities including contributing to serving and packing away at mealtimes.

A team of energetic, committed, Christian Leaders look after the campers throughout camp. All leaders are reference-checked, trained in child protection procedures and have completed government child protection requirements. In addition to adult leaders, a number of Camps involve Junior Leaders who will get right alongside your child throughout the week.
