Prayer is a powerful way to bring about change in NSW, including the spiritual maturity of young Christians whom SU seeks to equip and train for mission in NSW, and beyond! As we seek to give every child and young person in NSW the opportunity to hear the Good News, please join us in prayer. You can start small, by yourself, or pray with a friend or someone from your church community.
A prayer for those who lead high school lunchtime groups (ISCF) – Pray for wisdom, empathy and an ability to encourage students who attend.
A prayer for those who attend high school lunchtime groups (ISCF) – Pray that God’s Word would be meaningful to students, and bring new life to them.
A prayer for those who lead primary school lunchtime groups (SUPA Clubs) – Pray they would be able to encourage the children, and help them to grow in faith.
A prayer for those who attend school primary school lunchtime groups (SUPA Clubs) – Pray for God’s Spirit in the children, that they would be attentive and willing to learn.
A prayer for those at university – Pray they will be confident in their faith, and confident to share their faith with others.
A prayer for those leaving school – Pray they would know God’s will for their lives, and be willing to do it.
Give thanks for the many who pray for SU regularly. Thank God for their faithfulness.
Give thanks for those who support SU financially. Thank God for their faithfulness.
Thank God for the way he is using SU and all its activities to bring the Good News of Jesus to all people.
A prayer for students returning to normal life after SU training events – Pray they would be able to put into practice what they’ve learnt, for the benefit of others.
A prayer for the next generation of Christian leaders – Pray the SU training they receive would encourage them in faith, that it would be appropriate to their life situations.
A prayer for upcoming the summer missions season – Pray volunteers would engage those who attend, and be able to show by their lives their faith in God.
A prayer for evangelism and outreach – Pray God’s servants would be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
A prayer for servant leaders – Pray emerging Christian leaders across Australia would model Jesus in their lives.
A prayer for Aboriginal Christian leaders – Pray God would open the way to lift up and support Christian Aboriginal leaders, and empower them in ministry.
A prayer for daily reliance on God – Pray young Christians in NSW would use Bible reading and prayer to strengthen their faith and their lives.
Thank God for His generosity in creating the earth, and sustaining it throughout all seasons.
A prayer for diversity in the Church – Pray that every member of God’s family would learn what their gifts are, and use them for the benefit of the Church.
Pray for genuine love to well up amongst the fellowship of believers in NSW, for, “by this [love], all men will know that you are my disciples.” (Jesus)
A prayer for partnerships with SU NSW – Give thanks that SU is encouraging those who are already working in these partnerships, and pray that others will catch the vision also.
Give thanks for Andy and Margie Newman’s encouragement at the recent Leadership Conference. Pray students would respond to Jesus’ command to “make disciples of all people”.
A prayer for those who have attended SU camps this year – Pray God’s hand will have enacted deep changes in their lives.
Pray for the leadership of SU NSW, for wisdom and guidance, and the ability to respond to the needs of society.
The needs are great, but God is greater. Praise God for the thousands of people whose lives have been changed through the work of SU.
