My name is Maria Buster. I am married to Steve we have 5 sons. Four of whom are married. My work involves caring for Boarders in an Anglican School. We are currently based in Tamworth but our family and Cricket Camp originated in Bourke. Resulting from a God given vision combining faith and love for Jesus with a passion for Cricket. Our family have naturally grown up with Cricket Camp! Cricket Camp,as well as the other SU sporting camps continue to be a great blessing to our family and hundreds of others.

To adhere to NSW Government guidelines, Scripture Union NSW has taken the following steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Campers and volunteers.

• All participants are encouraged to complete a Rapid Antigen Test, either at home or upon arrival. Anyone who is a close or household contact will be not be able to attend camp.
• All participants' health will be monitored throughout camp.
• If a participant develops any COVID-19 like symptoms while on camp, participants will be isolated and asked to complete a Rapid Antigen Test.  If positive, Parents/Carers will be contacted to collect their children.
• Masks will be recommended during inside activities, with the exception of eating times.
• SUNSW will keep records for all participants to enable contact tracing in the event of a participant having a positive test within 7 days of camp.
• In the event of the camp needing to be cancelled due to COVID19 all participants will receive a full refund

Yes, just tell them to register online or contact the Camp Director for any further information.

Part of the camper registration process is to inform us of any medical conditions or requirements your child might have that could impact their time at camp. Our First Aid officers are equipped to administer medication as stipulated by you at registration. If the camp has any questions regarding the medical requirements they will contact you prior to the camp beginning.

No. The camp supplies all necessary equipment, however, we recommend that you bring your own box (protector). You are welcomed to bring your own gear (i.e. bats, pads, gloves) if you prefer.

Yes. We have had a variety of skill levels each year, and each and every camper has been challenged and improved their skills. In fact, many players comment on how the camp prepares them well for the beginning of the representative season.

No. There are different levels for cricketers of all stages of playing ability.

All SUNSW Camps have Senior First Aid qualified leaders who will deliver first-response treatment in the event of an injury or illness. A decision is then made about whether further medical attention is needed and if the camper needs to visit a medical centre or hospital. Scripture Union NSW or the Camp Director will contact the emergency contact parent as soon as possible if outside medical attention is required and if there are any major incidents that occur.

Each day of camp features a short, age-appropriate Bible presentation and small group time for campers to talk about issues in greater depth and ask questions about God, life and everything.

You will be expected to participate in all aspects of the camp to make it as enjoyable as possible for everybody. We will be helping each other to the best of our abilities including contributing to serving and packing away at mealtimes.

A team of energetic, committed, Christian Leaders look after the campers throughout camp. All leaders are reference-checked, trained in child protection procedures and have completed government child protection requirements. In addition to adult leaders, a number of Camps involve Junior Leaders who will get right alongside your child throughout the week.
